Marina Epoxy Flooring & Concrete Polishing was founded in 2017 by a crew that had spent years working on concrete floors across the Monterey Bay area and wanted to run jobs differently. The push to go independent came from seeing how larger outfits handled coastal work - moisture testing skipped, fog days rushed through, older slabs underestimated in the quote and overcharged during the job.

Marina is a specific kind of place. Most of the housing stock grew up around Fort Ord, and those mid-century slabs behave differently than newer construction. The sandy soil shifts over time. The salt air off the bay keeps concrete humid year-round. A floor that holds up fine in an inland city can fail here within a year if the contractor does not account for those conditions.

We set up here because we knew the area and knew we could do the work right. Since 2017, we have worked on garages in the older neighborhoods near downtown, commercial spaces on the former base land, and newer homes near California State University Monterey Bay. Every job starts with an honest walk of the floor and ends with a surface that holds up to real coastal conditions.
